Stormy A5773828 is a young, social-leaning dog who initially presented as nervous and avoidant when approached, often retreating, but was ultimately easy to leash and walked calmly with the handler. In the yard, she greeted other dogs with a neutral, appropriate posture, explored her surroundings, and then chose to engage more with handlers, actively soliciting affection and at times jumping up in excitement. She showed appropriate social boundaries with other dogs, responding well when approached and showing no interest in play, while coexisting peacefully for the remainder of the session. During her handling assessment, Stormy remained social and cooperative, allowing a full exam without issue. She displayed a relaxed body posture, soft expression, and willingly accepted handling of all areas, at times resting comfortably while being assessed. No concerning behaviors were observed. Stormy is behaviorally appropriate for public adoption, though slow introductions are recommended to help her build confidence with new people and environments. She would do best in a calm setting with gradual socialization.
